Whole-House Water Filtration in Dallas-Fort Worth
Whole-house filtration for iron, sediment, and chlorine in homes across Dallas-Fort Worth. We are based in Keller and install systems in Flower Mound, Lewisville, Denton, and Coppell.
What a Whole-House Filter Removes
A whole-house filter is built around three problems: iron, sediment, and chlorine. The filter media matches the problem. Sediment filters catch sand and grit. Activated carbon takes out chlorine taste and smell. Iron filters pull dissolved iron out of the water before it can stain. Your water test decides which of these your home needs.
- Takes out iron, sediment, and chlorine before they reach a tap
- Better water at every faucet, shower, and appliance
- Less staining from iron
- No more chlorine smell
Whole-House Filtration vs a Water Softener
A whole-house filter does not soften water. The calcium and magnesium that make water hard pass straight through it. If your test shows hard water, a water softener is the tool for that. Filtration handles iron, sediment, and chlorine; softening handles hardness.
Whole-House Filter Installation and Service
We install the filter where water enters your house, so every faucet, shower, and appliance gets filtered water. This is called point-of-entry treatment.
What's in DFW Tap Water
City water is disinfected before it reaches you, usually with chlorine or a chlorine compound, and some of it is still there at the tap. That is the smell a carbon filter takes out.
Sediment and iron are a different story. They can come from aging pipes and water mains, and they show up as grit, cloudy water, or orange and brown stains on fixtures and laundry. Hardness is in the water too, but a filter does not remove it.
What does a whole-house filter remove from DFW water?
A whole-house filter takes out iron, sediment, and chlorine before they reach a tap. It does not remove hardness. Which filter your home needs depends on what the free in-home water test finds.
